Saiwa Swamp National Park is Kenya’s smallest national park, protecting a peaceful wetland ecosystem near Kitale. It is best known for the rare sitatunga antelope, forest trails, wetlands, and diverse birdlife.

Best time to visit
The park can be visited throughout the year. June to October and January to February generally offer comfortable conditions for walking and wildlife viewing, while the wetter months create lush green scenery and excellent birdwatching.
