The best time to visit is generally from October to March when the weather is warm and sea conditions are often favorable for snorkeling, diving, and boat trips. June to October can also offer good conditions, although the sea may occasionally be rougher.

Start early for calmer sea conditions and better visibility. Carry sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, swimwear, and a towel. Use reef-safe sunscreen where possible. Bring an underwater camera for snorkeling and marine-life photography. Wear comfortable footwear for boat and island excursions. Follow marine conservation guidelines and avoid touching coral or marine animals. Check sea conditions before departure, especially during windy periods. Combine the visit with a Diani Beach, Wasini Island, or South Coast holiday.
